BioSepra HPLC Chromatograph?
For sale- a BioSepra Chromatography unit of some description.
I assume it to be some sort of HPLC related device, but I don’t see a model number on the thing anywhere.
BioSepra was acquired by Invitrogen as part of their acquisition of Life Technologies.
Invitrogen then sold BioSepra to Ciphergen, which in turn sold it to Pall Corporation.
I can’t say where this product fits into that timeline.
It looks like the Pall chromatography business is focused more on the consumables side than on the hardware.
Given the age of the unit and the number of times the company has changed hands, it’s hard to believe there would be any support for this piece in the field.
So it may be more valuable as a parts donor than as a working chromatograph.
As you can see the unit powers up and has LED displays for pH and Conductivity.
At no point did the UV Lamp indicator come on.
There are no controls on the unit that I see, so that is the extent of my testing and NO warranty is offered.
However, IF you pay the asking price and find it has a problem you cannot live with within 14 days of receipt you may return it.
Returns are ONLY allowed on Buy It Now Purchases.

Return would be for a refund of the purchase price, not including shipping costs.
Just so that we are clear on that, this is an item that has not been thoroughly tested.
As such it may work fine or it may have problems, so any purchase entails a certain degree of risk.

According to a news release of the sale to Ciphergen, Invitrogen mentions BioSepra as being involved in proteomics and genomics research, so perhaps this unit fits into those categories.
Comes with nothing other than the main unit as pictured, and specifically I do not have a manual or software or any cables for it.
