Description

Lightning (Chain Lightning) Cake stand high standard clear. Tiffin Glass Co. U.S. Glass Company (Gas City)1893. The glass is clear and any colors you see in the photographs are reflections from indoors where I photographed the piece. The cake stand has the mold marks and straw marks and bubbles and waviness common in this era of glassware. Very nice color and clarity and the impression from the mold is good. Sits evenly on level surface, no cracks or chips. There is a small amount of wear to the surface some fine scratches from use. Lovely shallow brandy well in center. There is a little extra glass at mold lines at top of stem/column. 9 3/8” in diameter and about 5” in height.
